Chums and Crumbs began in September 2023 with a simple idea: offering a hot meal on the first Thursday of every month to those living alone or who may feel isolated. Now in its fourth year, it has grown into a vibrant, intergenerational gathering bringing together people from across the Parish, with ages ranging from 4 to 84 !
Under the leadership of Jill Maguire and her dedicated team, each month brings a spread of home-cooked favourites - casseroles, lasagnes, chilli, curries, and hearty desserts - served alongside lively conversation and plenty of laughter. What started as a small act of care has become a much-loved part of parish life, strengthening friendships and offering warm companionship to all who come through the door.
“So then, my brothers and sisters, when you gather to eat, you should all eat together”
